Fabio has over 30 years' experience in business and community development, management and leadership, developed through working in private, public and third sectors since 1983.
Bea is a recent arrival in Forres from South Yorkshire and was co-opted to the Board in November 2015. Bea is a freelance researcher with a specialism in evaluation of projects, programmes and policies. She has a PhD from the University of Sheffield and has worked for a number of regional and local economic development agencies in Yorkshire.
Tina has lived in Forres for 20 years, initially as a member of the RAF, but latterly as a primary school administrator. She has spent most of her adult life here and has raised her children in Forres. Tina is committed to the area and its development for the benefit of the next generation and joined FACT to help make a positive difference.
Jim first came to the Forres area in 1960 with the RAF and stayed for over 4 years. When the opportunity arose for Jim and his wife to buy a local business in 1997, he was happy to return to Moray. Jim has been self-employed for most of his working life, and happiest when dealing on a face to face basis with the public.
Peter has extensive experience of the construction industry and won a prestigious award for his management of refurbishment work on Eden Court Theatre. Peter is also an active member of the Sanquhar Residents' Association and St John's Vestry.
Sandra is a strong and valued member of the local community. She is vice chair of the Forres Area Forum, Secretary of Forres in Bloom and attends the Forres Community Council. Prior to retirement Sandra was the Head Teacher of Applegrove Primary in Forres and brings to the board of FACT a wealth of experience in regards to planning, policies and procedures, event management and networks locally.
Lorna has been living in Forres since 1980 and is passionate about the area and its people. Lorna is currently an Independent Councillor for Forres Ward 8 which FACT covers. Lorna sees so much potential in individuals and groups working together and commits to the 'Spirit of Community' and Forres & area being the Centre of the Universe!
Laurie is an experienced marketing expert with skills in tourism based marketing as he is the Operations Manager for Moray Speyside Tourism. In addition, he was the marketing manager for Eden Court in Inverness and has a great deal of experience in event planning and programming cultural activities.
Tom is a recently retired architect who has direct experience of the condition of the Town Hall, as his previous employer was LDN Architects, who undertook the stage one Scottish Land Fund funded feasibility work and he has over 30 years' experience in developing heritage buildings and the challenges they face.
Lesley was born and brought up in Forres. Her work background is in Health and Social Care. She has also run a self help group for one parent families. She is a committed Christian and has done voluntary work since retiring 13 years ago. Her special interest is in community welfare groups and in supporting FACT volunteers.
Joanna moved to Forres in 2011, after a life-time of commuting on a regular basis up and down the A9. As a former chartered accountant, auditor and consultant she has considerable experience of business life, covering a wide range of types and size of organisation. She has a particular interest in economic development and tourism.
