I look forward to sharing with you how to weave a small rug, using a traditional Peg Loom (small rugs can be sewn together btw to make a big one!)
The warp we’ll use will be string (which I will provide)
The weft will be strips of material which can be more or less anything and of course any colour 🌈
I recommend you bring some ‘rags’ with you and a pair of scissors!
I’ll start you off making a small mat (about 8”x8”) which gives you the basic idea, then going on to create a small rug.
You’re welcome to take a loom home on loan, to practise with during the 4 week course.
Please understand I am no expert or professional but I’ve often felt it’s a wonderful way to give unwanted clothing, scraps of material etc, a new lease of life!
