Recruitment of Directors and Trustees
We are looking to recruit new directors and trustees for Forres Area Community Trust (FACT) to support our charity and the services that operate in the Forres catchment area. We are a development trust with long term plans to make the Forres area a better place to live, work and visit which includes the future sustainability of Forres Town Hall.
If you have experience and knowledge in governance, personnel, quality assurance, strategic planning and/or income generation, we would love to hear from you.
The following areas are of particular interest but are not exclusive:
- Strategic vision
- Independent judgement
- Willingness to give time and commitment to being a Board Member and trustee
The position is unpaid but will provide a great deal of experience and satisfaction. We meet on a monthly basis with additional subgroups for those members who would like to get more involved with a specific area of work.
Jim Farquharson, Chair is quoted:
‘It is a great pleasure to be involved with FACT and it’s a good time to be part of a forward thinking organisation which will always have the community central to everything we do. In these times of immense challenges for the people who live and work in the Forres area, FACT gives people a chance to make a real difference to the Town Hall and the services we provide for the local community, along with our many partners and funders.’
We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of directors and trustees and welcome applications from all sections of the community. If you would like to join our Board then please go to our website www.forresarea.org for further information and an application form. Alternatively, please contact our Development Manager, Michelle Gillibrand via email, michelle@forresarea.org
Communications & Marketing Volunteer
We are currently looking for Communications & Marketing Volunteers who can assist the team by helping to develop FACT Posters, Newsletters, and Brochures as well as posts on social media. This position plays a vital role in our team, and ensures the public know what’s happening in and around the Forres Town Hall.
The role is based in the Forres Town Hall and you will need to have good design skills as well as a familiarity with popular social media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. It would be of benefit if you had an understanding of Canva (a poster making website), however training can be given.
The role can be undertaken in a morning or early afternoon. How much you can support us, is up to you. Just a few volunteering hours a week goes a long way to helping our team do our best for the people of Forres and the surrounding area.
