Organisations

A number of Forres community organisations use the Town Hall as their registered office.

A registered office address is the official address of a company registered with Companies House. The registered office is the address to which government bodies – primarily Companies House and HMRC, but also other agencies – may address official communications, notices and reminders relating to the company. Any organisation using the Town Hall as the registered office must have effective arrangements in place for the collection of documents received at this address. The address of the registered office can appear on a company’s documentation and can be displayed on signage at the Town Hall (subject to any planning consents).

We only allow organisations to use the Town Hall as their registered office when permission has been sought and given in writing. Any requests made will be subject to the decision of the FACT board, and their decision is final, with no right of appeal. Where the FACT board is concerned that an organisation using the Town Hall as its registered office is not doing so properly or effectively, it reserves the right to terminate the arrangement with or without notice.

If you would like us to consider a request to use the Town Hall as your organisation’s registered address, you should write to the Development Manager at
