Working together to create a better place to live, work and visit
The Cameron Project
FACT runs an Older Person’s Support project called The Cameron Project. This project offers a befriending service, events and classes to help reduce social isolation for those over 50 in the Forres area.
Befriending
Our Cameron's Champions offer a Befriending Service for people over 50 in the Forres area. If you feel lonely or isolated or find it difficult to get out and about then our volunteers can help. We can help you meet new people, try new activities or reconnect with your community.
Events
The Cameron Project also runs monthly events including crafts sessions, gentle exercise classes and shopping trips. These events are open to anyone over 50, get in touch with Kirsty at FACT to find out more on 01309 674 388 or kirsty@forresarea.org
Gentle Seated Exercise
Gentle seated exercise classes are currently being run every Tuesday - apart from the first Tuesday of the month - from 10:30am - 12pm at Forres Town Hall. Teas & coffees are provided.
Transport
The Cameron Project works closely with The Osprey Trust Bus to provide transport to our activities and events. If you would like to come to one of our events but are worried about how to get there, give Kirsty a ring to find out about the bus service.
Other information
Copies of the Forres Area Older Person’s Directory are available for collection from the FACT office in Forres Town Hall on the High Street.
